Global Indirect Tax Process Expert 

 

Join our Global Business Services (GBS) team as a Junior Global Indirect Tax Process Expert and start your career journey in our Tax Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will gain valuable experience in tax operations within a leading international company. Your mission will be to assist in ensuring compliance and efficiency across our global invoice processes.

As a Junior team member, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning to provide assistance to stakeholders and developing your tax knowledge and IT skills to contribute to unique solutions. Your proactive attitude will help you engage in process enhancements, where you will begin to leverage automation and data analytics to support impactful advancements.

 

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Assisting in the analysis and resolution of specific issues in tax determination within ECC and S4 environments, ensuring compliance with new tax law changes.

- Supporting the consulting efforts on new and existing business scenarios related to tax determination, including providing assistance to stakeholders for content, ERP, and process-related inquiries.

- Helping maintain and update relevant tax determination tables in ECC and S4 systems in response to regulatory changes or business needs.

- Learning to design and consult on tax determination scenarios in a country-specific context, including mapping tax codes to country-specific reporting boxes to ensure indirect tax compliance.

- Assisting in translating business requirements into effective tax determination configurations and supporting necessary adjustments for outgoing invoices.

- Participating in projects to support new business scenarios, models, and global process implementations in the indirect taxes area.

- Identifying and supporting process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, data analytics, and cross-functional collaborations to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax determination.

- Assisting in the development and delivery of training programs to support the implementation of process improvements and new systems.


Who You Are:

 

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Tax is preferred, ideally combined with a foundational understanding of IT concepts.

- Some experience or internships in tax compliance/accounting would be beneficial but not required.

- Basic understanding of indirect tax processes and compliance requirements is a plus.

- Willingness to learn and work with various IT tools on a daily basis.

- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and contributing to process changes.

- Good analytical skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within global and virtual teams.

- Fluency in English is required; German language proficiency is plus
