About this role
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sewer position creates boat and seat covers using industrial sewing machines for fiberglass and aluminum boat production using specified patterns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sews boat and seat covers for production line.
Sews boat and seat covers for After-Market Parts.
Prepares and inspects materials.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Ability to sew efficiently
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to work in team setting or independently
Ability to understand processes and instructions
Ability to read tape measurements
Ability to read and follow standard operations processes
Ability to cross train
Ability to wear all required PPE
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting at workstation
Bending to put finished work together.
Twisting while pulling parts into workstation.
Pinching work with fingers during sewing.
Lifting up to maximum of 25lbs occasionally.
Cutting occasionally.
Pressing power pedal with foot.
Basic machine and work area maintenance/housekeeping
