We are looking for a Technical Development Representative PU to join our Performance Materials team in Wyandotte.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.

 

 

We are seeking a professional like you to develop formulations and maintain technical service activities for rigid foams for OEM panel applications (doors, continuous and discontinuous panels, reefer, etc.) for North America.

 

You will work collaboratively with sales and marketing and provide product development and technical service support to accounts. This includes product development, new product qualification, responding to technical inquiries and troubleshooting. In addition, you will perform lab projects to address new opportunities and product needs in the marketplace. You will plan, organize, lead and compile the results in reports and presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.

 

There is an expectation of up to 50% travel associated with this role.

  • Providing customers with process and formulation support for new and existing products to achieve business targets.
  • Working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing to address customer needs in a timely manner and take new product developments to commercialization.
  • Committing to workplace health, safety and exposure reduction programs and other safety measures to ensure the health and safety of all

If you have...

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a scientific related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in polymers or formulations.
  • The ability to work independently and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP and MS Office.
