WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our team “Business Process & Digital Excellence” rolls out innovative solutions to  support better and faster business decisions across the BASF Intermediates Division. We implement digital & AI solutions with their complete lifecycle for business users across the world.

  • We are looking for a talented Business Consultant to understand, define processes & roll out applications based on Master Data, Sales, Marketing & Ecommerce across the division. 

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be  execute material & customer master data processes in sync with business needs & map digital solutions to the process landscape 
  • You will be responsible to  collect requirements from different stakeholders for the upcoming SAP S/4 implementation project.  
  • You will be responsible to conduct trainings, authorize access rights and conduct regular data quality checks to maintain master data quality. In addition, you will manage master data migration topics. 
  • You will represent the interests of the division in cross division expert communities and BASF projects. 
  • You will take on global responsibility for the ongoing development and design of master data & EHSQ tools and processes working with various units to align requirements, define the needs of the division and challenge the status quo 
  • You will define market to order processes in sync with business needs & map digital solutions to the process landscape for Market to Order for e.g., Lead management, opportunity management, pricing/quoting & e-commerce tools as a key member of the global team. 
  • You will be responsible for implementing AI solutions for decision support along master data, sales, marketing & pricing excellence. 
  • You will translate requirements of business teams specifically master data for AI solutions. 
  • You will guide and train new user teams in understanding data needs, data quality, data transparency, analytics e.g., PowerBI and its relevance for business processes 
  • You will work with an interdisciplinary and diverse team in an agile set-up to create and visualize business insights from data previously hidden in silos.  

 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • Background in business, information technology, engineering, or other data-centric disciplines (B.Sc. or M.Sc.). 
  • More than 3 years of professional experience as a Business process expert/consultant, working on digital solution roll out, working in an agile environment. 
  • Hands-on experience working with digital solutions like Salesforce CRM, marketing, e-commerce, pricing or supply chain in SAP or non SAP environment. 
  • Hands-on experience working with digital solutions like in SAP or non-SAP environment. 
  • Experience with software development, preferably for cloud-based applications in an agile setup (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)  
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English. 
  • Knowledge of business process and digital solution mapping 
  • Preparing data analytics & excel templates for large digital projects 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in agile (Scrum knowledge appreciated) with a DevOps mindset 
  • Aptitude for quickly understanding new topics, combined with a structured and conceptual approach to problem solving 
  • Previous experience in digital/process roles is a plus, as is a strong collaborative spirit to thrive in a team environment 
  • German language skills
