WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As an Account Manager in an international team, you will assume full commercial responsibility for driving sales of Polyurethanes in a dynamic and competitive environment. This role requires a proactive approach to business development and customer management to achieve ambitious sales targets.

  • You will take ownership of selling Polyurethanes systems to the North African market. There will be a strong emphasis on serving the Footwear industries, where Polyurethanes are valued for their versatility, durability, and technical advantages over alternative materials. Your role includes educating customers about the unique properties and benefits of Polyurethanes for their specific needs.
  • You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of complex accounts. This involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong and lasting relationships, and delivering exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be expected to understand the unique requirements of each account and proactively propose Polyurethane-based solutions to address their challenges.
  • You will identify and secure growth opportunities by carefully analyzing market trends, customer needs and competitor activities. You will collaborate closely with marketing colleagues to develop strategies that position Polyurethanes as the preferred choice in your target sectors, ensuring the company's offerings meet evolving market demands.
  • You will work directly with customers to provide tailored solutions that meet their technical and commercial requirements. This includes offering technical support and aligning new project requirements with the company’s Polyurethane capabilities, ensuring a smooth integration into their processes and products.
  • You will partner with the Technical Development and Marketing teams to guarantee the seamless incorporation of Polyurethanes into customer applications. Your support will extend from the concept phase through to production, ensuring customer projects are successfully realized.
  • You will be responsible for regularly reporting sales progress and sharing valuable market insights into the business. This ensures that your team's activities remain aligned with the company’s strategic goals and help guide future business decisions.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience within the chemical business, ideally with exposure to the North African market. Knowledge of the chemistry and processing is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Arabic, French, English and Italian is mandatory.
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making and communication skills, coupled with a winning mentality and growth-oriented mindset.
  • A self-motivated and conscientious individual with a customer-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a competitive environment.
  • A valid driving license and a willingness to travel throughout North Africa and abroad as needed.
