Job Description:

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in computers

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain AS400 applications using RPG (Report Program Generator), CL (Control Language), and other relevant programming languages.

  • Design and implement database structures and file layouts on the AS400 platform.

  • Write, test, and debug AS400 programs to ensure their accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to coding standards.

  • Perform unit testing and participate in system testing and integration testing activities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS400 applications, including performance optimization, error handling, and data integrity.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

  • Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.

  • Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as SQL, to support integration efforts.

  • Certification in AS400 or related technologies.

Additional Job Description:

  • Plan, design, code, debug and deploy sustainable software development solutions that support and accelerate the company’s digital products and services initiatives; ensure solutions meet industry best practices in security, privacy, and retention require.

  • Collaborate with leaders across business units and divisions to bring end-user needs from idea to production.

  • Conduct requirements analysis, document technical specifications, write, review, and debug code.

  • Recommend product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback.

  • Evaluate new technology and build proof-of-concepts.

  • Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of software development and change management best practices that maintain a stable, scalable and high performing production environment.

  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members

  • Other duties as assigned.
