Job Description:
Perform a variety of scheduling and expediting duties related to material requirements planning. Determines the resources necessary to ensure an uninterrupted supply to support production and sales. Primarily concerned with raw material or finished/fabricated parts required in accordance with manufacturing schedules.

Considerable judgement is required to analyze facts and circumstances surrounding scheduling problems, meet specified delivery dates, and determine alternative procedures that may be required within limits of established practice.
Supervisory/Responsibility:
Works under minimal supervision with latitude; responsible for own work only.
Work Environment:
The Planner III works in an indoor environment. May be exposed to some shop conditions, but not continuously to the extent of being disagreeable.
Physical Demands:
The employee may be required to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and greater than 50 pounds with assistance. Mental and visual attention is necessary to perform various duties requiring constant alertness and activity.
Responsibility – Equipment/Materials:
Errors in planning and scheduling may result in serious production delays, failure to meet delivery commitments and may have adverse effect on outside relationships. Use of tact required with regular contact with various departmental supervisors.
Safety:
All safety regulations must be observed.
Position Type:
This is a regular, full-time position with frequent overtime. All candidates must be willing to work overtime.
Travel:
Occasional travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Typically requires theoretical and practical training comparable to an apprenticeship.
Typically requires 4-6 years’ materials planning experience.
Other Duties:
Perform various other similar or associated duties as assigned or directed.
The approximate pay range for this position is $34.33/hour – $41.20/hour. Please note that the pay range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
