Responsibilities:

• Ensure all ammonia plant is operating safely.
• Hourly parameter recording 
• No division in the parameter setting. 
• Hydrocarbon management for the fridge plants and compressors operation 
• Ensure the underground team gets cooled air for their health and good production. 
• Compressor monitoring and hourly parameter recording
• Chemical dosing to the plant cooling system 
• To ensure the chemical is maintained correctly. (Ammonia, nitrogen, and water treatment) 
• Preparation of daily report as requested by management.                      
• Confirmed mining regulation regarding statutory inspection and equipment. 
• Inspection and Equipment safety certificate 
• Assist and conduct incident or accident investigation.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Environment policies, as well as other policies, procedures, and guidelines, 
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Shaft Maintenance Supervisor 
• Be vigilant of the company's assets, Monitor, report, and action through the appropriate 
• Procedures, activities resulting in the loss, misuse, or misappropriation of company assets.
• Top-up Ammonia and check for leaks by using the Sulphur stick
• Cleaning cooling tower dam, BAC, inspection of each quoter
• Managing planned maintenance parameters and analyzing and reporting planned or unplanned maintenance results and deviations, correcting as required, ensuring a safe zero-tolerance environment.
• ZH and GA compressor cooling tower inspection, chemical dosing, and cleaning
• Assist the maintenance team with any work related to the fridge plant, compressor and main ventilation fans
• Main ventilation fans monitoring and report any fault to the maintenance supervisor
• Oil top-up/ drain to the plant if required
• Maintain good housekeeping in all plant and compressor areas
• Fridge and compressor plant eye wash inspection 
• Ensure all MSD to the chemicals used at fridge and compressor are updated 
• Ensure all the bund walls are in good condition and all chemicals are stored in the bund walls

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                             

• Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with defensive driving skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 3  Underground mining experience is added as an advantage
• PLC Knowledge is an added advantage 

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent Troubleshooting skills
• Excellent Knowledge of Winder Drives, Safety Circuit system, and Troubleshooting.
• Thorough knowledge of winder operation and reticulation drawings, shaft operation and reticulation drawings, rock breaker operation, and load out operation.
• Computer literate in the Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
• Communication, Fluent in written and verbal English & Swahili
• designed paste line and equipment plans, detailed engineered prints, and layouts

Bulyanhulu is a narrow-vein gold mine containing gold, silver and copper mineralisation in sulphides. The mineralisation of Bulyanhulu is associated with a number of steeply-dipping veins. Bulyanhulu commenced commercial production in 2001.
