Highlights:

Summary: The RN - Sepsis Program Coordinator shall be responsible to develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the Sepsis program. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal/external functioning of the Sepsis Program but may include the integration of the hospital program with the local community, including prehospital providers. Additionally, this role will also facilitate the development, implementation, and ongoing adherence of Sepsis program protocols and therapies as outlined by CMS, evidenced based practice, and in collaboration with clinical leaders. The Coordinator will collaborate with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis. The Coordinator will also review clinical data to improve outcomes. In addition, the Coordinator will provide education and clinical expertise to care team with the expectation of routine, on-site presence to all Baptist Health facilities to coordinate compliance and performance improvement. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience:

Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 3 years nursing experience required. At least 1-year in a role responsible for working with managing projects, educating, or supervising others. Previous program management experience. Must have experience in or actively involved in system wide/multi-disciplinary committees/projects.

License / Certification:

Active RN licensure required, CPHQ or Project Management certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.

  • Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.

  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.

  • Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

  • Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
