Highlights:

Summary: The RN - Occupational/Employee Health shall be responsible to perform new and annual health screenings and follow-up of work related illnesses and injuries. The RN will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, both federal and state. This individual will collaborate with Infection Control. Additionally, the RN will ensure a safe working environment. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in Occupational Health preferred. Minimum 3-5 years hospital based experience required. License / Certification: Active RN license required, BLS required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Work is continuously physically and frequently emotionally demanding.
• Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to cope with stressful situations.
• Assess and treat minor injuries / illnesses and counsel employees, volunteers, students on safety and health issues.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting and mobility with stooping bending kneeling and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 70 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
Ability to travel between hospital locations and travel to seminars when required.
