  • Mon–Thu: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Fri: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Our Internal Medicine practice in Jemison, AL is seeking a Senior Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with at least 2 year of experience to join our team.

 

In this role, you’ll perform hands‑on patient care under the direction of our providers, support clinical operations, and make meaningful connections with patients every day.

Responsibilities

💼 What You’ll Do

  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care activities
  • Prepare patients for visits and gather accurate clinical information
  • Enter orders under provider direction (labs, medications, diagnostic imaging)
  • Document care per policy and maintain smooth patient flow
  • Support patients needing specialty scheduling or care coordination
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members

Qualifications

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • 1 year of Certified Medical Assistant experience (required)
  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or 1 year of applicable MA experience in addition to required experience
  • Current CMA certification from an approved agency (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, etc.)
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Someone who thrives in a busy environment, demonstrates patience, and can handle multiple priorities

Phlebotomy and X‑ray experience are a plus but not required.
