Highlights:

Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic III shall perform repair and preventive maintenance duties on building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems. This individual shall install new equipment in all areas of facilities used and owned by Baptist Health Systems and Services. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. State Licensure and/or 5 years of practical on the job training in a maintenance field preferred. Electrical experience preferred. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Basic interpreting of blue prints on buildings and schematics on equipment.
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires standing, stooping, bending, climbing and working in cramped positions for extended periods of time
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Exposed to various types of weather conditions 40% of the time. Noise levels high around some equipment. Work required in restricted areas occasionally.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
