Highlights:

Summary: The clinic scheduler is responsible for assisting the provider with the maintenance and scheduling of patient testing and procedures, as well as, providing referrals to specialists. They will use the EMR program to document, will reschedule as needed, and will provide clerical assistance as needed to provider. Education / Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required. Physician office experience preferred. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of PC applications, Word, Excel, etc.
• This position requires knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Must be able to maintain positive public relations image in all medical staff and interdepartmental communications.
• Must relate to physicians, coworkers and patients in a courteous, helpful and respectful manner.
• Is expected to participate in a team effort to accomplish department goals, must be willing to rearrange schedules according to department needs.
• Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Ability to follow directions and establish priorities effectively.
• Self-directed and capable of working without direct supervision.
• Dependable in both production and attendance.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility 20% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
