The Registered Nurse-Pre Op provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. This position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This position performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other professionals in the facility. This position is responsible for the assessment, care coordination, and implementation of the post-operative care plan of the patient according to prescribed procedures.
