They provide advanced practice management software and other state-of-the-art health technology solutions that enable health professionals to provide ‘healthier care’.<br><br><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>The Opportunity</strong></span></p> <p>We’re looking for a Chief Product &amp; Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead Medtech, one of our fast growing operating companies, into its next phase of innovation, clinical impact, and scalable growth.</p> <p>Based in Auckland and reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll partner closely with Banyan’s Product and Technology leadership to shape the future of a platform that plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers, patients, and industry partners. This is a pivotal role that balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, bringing modernisation, data intelligence, and AI-driven innovation to a regulated and rapidly evolving sector.</p> <p>You’ll define how we build products that truly matter in healthcare—designing robust, compliant, and future-ready systems, elevating engineering and product capabilities, and creating experiences that improve patient outcomes and empower clinical teams.</p> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Lead the Product &amp; Technology vision</strong> – Drive the modernisation of our PMS platforms while strengthening data, security, interoperability, and AI capabilities.</li> <li><strong>Own the roadmap</strong> – Prioritise what we build and why, translating customer, clinical, and regulatory needs into clear and impactful product outcomes.</li> <li><strong>Shape the architecture</strong> – Set the direction for a scalable, cloud-native, health-grade platform with strong interoperability (HL7/FHIR) and long-term innovation.</li> <li><strong>Advance AI and data-driven innovation</strong> – Turn clinical data into insights that improve workflows, decision support, and patient experience—while ensuring privacy and safety.</li> <li><strong>Build and develop high-performing teams</strong> – Lead and grow Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Data teams across NZ and, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.</li> <li><strong>Champion delivery excellence</strong> – Embed modern engineering, automation, and DevSecOps practices to improve speed, quality, and reliability.</li> <li><strong>Strengthen security and compliance</strong> – Oversee cybersecurity, data privacy, and resilience, ensuring adherence to , ISO 27001, and health-sector standards.</li> <li><strong>Partner across the business</strong> – Work closely with Clinical, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success to align the roadmap with commercial and clinical priorities, and communicate clearly with the Board.</li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Extensive experience in senior product and technology leadership (CPTO, CTO, CPO, or equivalent), ideally within<strong>, </strong>health information systems, clinical software, or regulated SaaS environments.</li> <li>A proven track record modernising and scaling complex platforms, ideally with experience in healthcare-grade interoperability or Salesforce ecosystems.</li> <li>Expertise in enterprise architecture, .NET/Angular modernisation, and cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS).</li> <li>Strong understanding of health data privacy, clinical safety standards, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NZ Privacy Act, HIPAA-aligned practices, or equivalent regulatory environments.</li> <li>Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML, analytics, or decision-support solutions that unlock value for clinicians and patients.</li> <li>Experience leading distributed teams and shaping high-performance cultures grounded in excellence, empathy, and mission-driven work.</li> <li>Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills—you can bring clarity to complex environments and inspire confidence across clinical and commercial teams.</li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Bonus Points</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Experience building or evolving data-driven products in Medtech, digital health, or other highly regulated industries.</li> <li>Hands-on knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR), API-first architectures, or AI/ML data pipelines in clinical environments.</li> <li>Familiarity with digital patient engagement, clinical workflow optimisation, or predictive analytics.</li> <li>Proven success identifying new product-led revenue opportunities or innovative pricing models in healthcare settings.</li> </ul> <p>If you’re motivated by modernisation, clinical impact, innovation, and building teams that love what they do, this is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of MedTech while improving the lives of healthcare providers and patients across New Zealand and beyond.</p> <div id="fortidlp-input-element-parent"></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Diversity, Equity, Inclusion &amp; Equal Employment Opportunity at Banyan: Banyan affirms that inequality is detrimental to our Global Teams, associates, our Operating Companies, and the communities we serve.
