Service & Rental Manager – Grande Prairie Motorsports & Harley-Davidson (Grande Prairie, AB)

What You’ll Own (Key Responsibilities)
• Lead Service Advisors and Technicians; recruit, hire, onboard, and coach seasonal and full‑time team members.
• Drive technician productivity/efficiency/ELR; daily dispatching, accurate promise times, and proactive RO management.
• Champion diagnostics quality and first‑time‑fix; collaborate with Parts for pre‑pulls and job‑kit strategy.
• Manage the rental fleet: procurement planning, turn‑key readiness, scheduling, check‑out/in, damage assessment, billing, and utilization targets across ATVs, UTVs/SxS, snowmobiles, and power equipment (generators, pumps).
• Implement seasonal capacity plans; optimize hours and staffing for peak ride and sled seasons.
• Oversee warranty administration, safety inspections, recalls/campaigns, service bulletins, and compliance.
• Track and action KPIs: bay occupancy, carry‑over, cycle time, CSI/NPS, comebacks, gross per RO, rental ADR and days‑out.
• Ensure shop safety, tooling control, and immaculate workspaces; uphold brand standards.
• Design service menus, maintenance packages, and rental promotions with Marketing; manage online reputation (reviews).
What You Bring (Must‑Haves)
• 3+ years leading an automotive/powersports service operation (advisor or manager); proven team leadership.
• Strong troubleshooting literacy (2‑wheel and off‑road) and the ability to coach technicians and advisors.
• Hands‑on experience with scheduling/dispatch, RO flow, warranty administration, and customer communication.
• Fleet or rental management experience (checklists, pre‑/post‑trip inspections, damage and billing processes).
• Comfort with DMS/Shop systems (e.g., PBS/DealerVu), KPI dashboards, and Excel basics.
Nice to Have
• Harley-Davidson dealership experience or OEM certifications.
• Local riding community ties and event leadership.
• Formal safety or rental risk management training.
