Inventory Manager (Parts, Shipping & Receiving) – Grande Prairie Motorsports & Harley-Davidson (Grande Prairie, AB)

Own the flow of goods from truck to bin to bay. You’ll keep riders moving by ensuring accurate ordering, stocking, counts, adjustments, and on‑time shipping/receiving across motorcycles, ATVs/UTVs, sleds, and power equipment.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

•    Plan, place, and track purchase orders; confirm ETAs; expedite and manage backorders with OEM/aftermarket vendors.

•    Receive product accurately; reconcile invoices; bin to correct locations; maintain barcodes and labeling standards.

•    Execute cycle counts and annual physical inventory; research variances; process adjustments with proper controls.

•    Set seasonal min/max; track turns, fill rate, and days of supply; reduce aging and dead stock ethically (returns, markdowns).

•    Coordinate shipping/receiving logistics: packing, documentation, freight claims, and carrier relations; meet safety and regulatory standards.

•    Partner with Parts and Service to pre‑stage jobs and ensure fast RO flow; support e‑commerce/phone sales fulfillment.

•    Maintain clean, safe stockrooms and docks; enforce FIFO and hazmat handling as applicable.

•    Leverage DMS/ERP (e.g., Lightspeed or similar) and Excel to keep data clean and auditable.

What You Bring (Must‑Haves)

•    2+ years in inventory control or shipping/receiving (powersports/automotive/retail distribution).

•    Accuracy obsession with counts, bin locations, and documentation; able to lift/move packages safely.

•    Experience with cycle counting, variance research, and adjustments; strong Excel fundamentals.

•    Organized communicator who thrives on cross‑department coordination in a seasonal business.

Nice to Have

•    Forklift certification and WHMIS/safety training.

•    Vendor program experience (returns, dating/terms) and basic merchandising support.

•    Powersports enthusiast with hands‑on knowledge of common parts and accessories.
