The role involves collaborating closely with Tender teams and MDC Engineering, reviewing client technical specifications, selecting suitable and commercially viable products and systems, and producing the technical information required for cost generation.
During FEED/Execution phases, the position may support detailed engineering definition to meet customer and project requirements, reporting to the Engineering Leader for Projects & Tenders while maintaining strong alignment with the Regional Engineering department.

As an MDC Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with company processes during Tender/FEED execution, including design reviews, CTR preparation, and BOM reviews.

  • Reviewing and executing technical clarifications throughout Tender/FEED phases, including pre‑submittal and post‑submittal activities.

  • Producing and securing approvals for pricing Bills of Materials (BOM), Master Equipment Lists (MEL), Material Take‑Offs (MTO), and CTRs.

  • Collaborating with designers to provide inputs for drawings, P&IDs, and general assembly documents required for tender execution.

  • Driving cost reduction initiatives in system solutions, standardization by promoting configurable solutions and reducing bespoke designs while maintaining ITT compliance.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Degree‑level qualification in a relevant engineering field and an appropriate level of experience within the subsea industry.

  • Have proven FEED/Tendering engineering and costing experience, including design, selection, and integration of subsea structures, hydraulic distribution, umbilicals, and jumper systems.

  • Have strong technical problem‑solving skills and solid subsea system engineering knowledge.

  • Have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and manage customer and stakeholder expectations.

  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross‑functional interactions effectively.
