This role applies sourcing policies, ensures compliance with specifications and budgets, and drives effective supplier execution.</p><p>Through strong procurement expertise, problem‑solving capabilities, and cross‑functional collaboration, the Lead Sourcing Specialist contributes to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement within the supply chain.</p><p></p><p><b>As a Lead Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement, you will be responsible for:</b></p><ul><li><p>Managing the buying process for assigned commodities or goods in alignment with sourcing policies and business requirements</p></li><li><p>Creating, placing, and following up on <b>purchase orders (POs)</b> to ensure timely and accurate execution</p></li><li><p>Managing supplier relationships to support PO fulfillment, resolve issues, and handle schedule changes</p></li><li><p>Acting as the primary point of contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding specifications, pricing, and delivery commitments</p></li><li><p>Updating and maintaining accurate data within the <b>ERP system</b></p></li><li><p>Advising functional managers and cross‑functional teams on procurement approaches, processes, and best practices</p></li><li><p>Leading communication with colleagues and the business to resolve complex sourcing and supply issues</p></li><li><p>Serving as a <b>project leader for medium‑sized projects</b> or as a key contributor to larger, cross‑functional initiatives</p></li><li><p>Delivering measurable results within defined timelines, typically with work cycles of 3–6 months and impact horizons of 2–12 months</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>To be successful in this role, you will:</b></p><ul><li><p>Have  a <b>Bachelor’s degree</b> from an accredited university or college<br /><i>(or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing)</i></p></li><li><p>Have a <b>minimum of 3 additional years of experience</b> in Buying or Procurement</p></li><li><p>Have a strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, procurement processes, and supplier management</p></li><li><p>Be able to manage multiple procurement activities while meeting deadlines and business priorities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired characteristics</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong oral and written communication skills</p></li><li><p>Well‑developed interpersonal and leadership capabilities</p></li><li><p>Ability to influence others and lead small teams or initiatives</p></li><li><p>Proven experience leading projects of moderate scope and impact</p></li><li><p>Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously</p></li><li><p>Effective problem‑identification and solution skills</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work in a way that works for you</b></p><p>We recognize that everyone works best in different ways.
