About this role


Job Description
Assist in design, development, and administration of developer tools in multiple environments. This position will be working on a team realizing the architecture for products such as CICD platforms, Git infrastructure, and centralized developer solutions. This position requires skills and experience in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, user account maintenance, and IT system security standards. The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of system administration, cloud technologies, software development processes, infrastructure deployment/management technologies, CI/CD pipelines, programming languages, and the ability to step in and help with development when needed.

The Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. What You’ll Do:

  • Interface with internal customers, security, and management teams for: maintaining production systems, resolving issues with services and physical systems.
  • System maintenance (auditing logs, patching/upgrading software, backups, password/certificate rotations, user account management, etc.).
  • Work with the following software development lifecycle concepts: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Install, maintain, and support multiple Windows and Linux based servers on physical and virtual platforms in support of program initiatives.
  • Support engineering applications, including JAMA, Syndia, Tasktop, Materials Based System Engineering (MBSE) and BAE Software Factory.
  • Support Rancher environments, including support of Kubernetes, GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, Grafana. Ansible
  • Support DevSecOps tools, including Atlassian Tools, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Support the deployment of new instances/enhancements/upgrades of these applications inside multiple classified environments.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Skills and Education
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 6 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • DoD 8570 compliance.
  • Excellent documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills (OS, Applications, Network, etc.).
  • Customer service oriented, excellent communication and listening skills, organizational skills, ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, be self-motivated, detail oriented, etc.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

  • Experience with Linux servers, scripting, and support (Ansible).
  • Experience with specialized network environments (air gapped, limited access).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with VMWare technologies (vSphere ESXI, vCenter, vRealize Operations Manager, Tanzu, NSX).
  • Experience with AWS services (KMS, VPC, LBs, IAM Roles, Firewall, Security Groups, S3,EC2, SQS, SNS, ElastiCache, Workspaces, RDS).
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Fortify).



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
