About this role


Job Description
BAE Systems issearching for a Senior Network Administrator to configure , install, and support secure Cisco network hardware for both LAN Switch and Wireless networks.
As a Senior Network Administrator , you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining compliance documentation including both hardware and IOS standards.
  • Function as a leader in small group projects and team objectives.
  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of the physical network layer while maintaining a neat and organized IDF.
  • Involved in major network installations and upgrades along with creating and updating required documentation.
  • Support day-to-day service requests and trouble tickets using enterprise ServiceNow and network management tools.
  • Provide cost estimates for LAN/WAN networking for supported projects using standard ROM templates.
  • Work directly with vendors and contractors to support project requirements.
  • Lead the planning and assessment of phases of projects and assist with project design/implementation phases.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors degree required (or at least 10 years of experience)
  • Cisco certifications highly prefered (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Security+ Highly prefered
  • Good understanding of Cisco tools such as Catalyst Center, Identity Service Engine(ISE), software licensing.
  • Experience configuing Cisco switches using CLI (command line interface)
  • Good communication skills are required as candidate will be working directly with end users, customers and other sub-contractors.
  • Good organizational skills required as candidate will be required to work multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Use of standard Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Visio are required.
  • Good understanding of standard IT enfironments and infrastructure, including Cisco switches and wireless APs including the physical infrastructure cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to help facilitate problem resolution.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Network Industry certifications CCNA/CCNP certification in routing and switching preferred orequivalent experience
  • Good understanding of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE
  • Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services (ISE)
  • Good understanding of ticketing systems preferably ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of UPS's
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining network documentation


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
