As an Insulator Improver, you will:

  • Install and remove insulation on ship components, including bulkheads, overheads, piping systems, and machinery
  • Measure, cut, and fabricate insulation materials to reduce heat loss, prevent moisture condensation, and deaden sound
  • Perform related tasks as assigned


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in insulation work on military or commercial vessels
  • Skills:
    + Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings
    + Knowledge of piping systems and layout patterns


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions
  • Must be able to maintain job site cleanliness


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50565 - $55744

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
