Job Description
The Field Service Engineer provides United States forces on- and off-site Communications and Electronics (C-E) engineering, technical, maintenance and repair, and Life Cycle Support (LCS) services for all C-E systems, subsystems, equipment and ancillaries. Will support all communications systems within the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) platforms.

Responsibilities may also include providing specialized C-E engineering, technical and LCS assistance to United States Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the analysis, maintenance, training and operation of the C5ISR suite. Will involve the use and application of specialized test equipment, tools and software that are unique to the systems and equipment being supported.

Will also be responsible for providing technical reports to the United States commands and forces being supported. Responsibilities will also include leading, coordinating and supporting analysis and field engineering teams in evaluating requirements, preparing and implementing approved system level engineering change proposals, modifications and upgrades, to include related system training. Provision of these services will require specific technical knowledge and experience in the systems/subsystems being supported.

Travel within the United States will be required, as will significant recurring interaction with United States conventional and SOF forces.

This position is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to the surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of recent specialized experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of recent specialized experience OR High School diploma and 8 years of recent specialized experience
US military Electronics Technician training/experience
Communications electronics test equipment experience
Ability to travel to CONUS locations at all times

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) platforms

Knowledge of:
JCR, JBC-P (situational awareness systems)
SATCOM Systems
LOS Systems
GPS Systems
ECMS Systems

Electric and Electronic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of electronic theory focusing on electron flow, fundamental concepts like voltage (force), current (flow), and resistance (opposition), and circuit behavior (Ohm's Law, AC/DC) to understand electronic devices, from simple circuits to complex digital systems
Ability to map systems without system drawings
Ability to read schematic drawings
Basic Soldering Skills / Cable Repair Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Self-starter, ability to work with only general, limited supervision
U.S. Special Operations Force (SOF) communications experience/training


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64935 - $110390

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
