MONDAY - FRIDAY

6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Summary             Repairs and maintains electric, diesel, and gasoline trucks and hydraulic systems by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities     (Other duties may be assigned)

Must be able to make all minor repairs such as changing belts, hoses, alternators, water pumps, etc.

Must have tools and be organized in a way to perform job duties in a timely manner.

Must be able to make all adjustments.

Must have knowledge in all types of lubricants and verify proper specs for application.

Must be brake certified.

Must have working knowledge in electrical components, must have understanding of D.V.O.M meters and be able to follow electrical symmetric and make repairs.

Must have knowledge of suspension and repair safety sensitive component to maintain D.O.T regulations.

Must have knowledge of company wrecker and operate in a safe manner.

Must have knowledge in safety equipment required for Class 8 truck to ensure safe and legal operation.

Must have knowledge in air brake system and follow flow charts to repair systems to meet legal D.O.T specifications.

Must be able to successfully perform PM1 and PM2 without assistance.

Must have good working knowledge of hydraulic systems and be able to successfully perform GPM and PSI testing and diagnosis.

Must be able to make repairs to aluminum and steel with welding equipment.

Must have knowledge performing tasks such as valve adjustments, clutch replacements, turbo replacements, and trunnion arm bushing.

Must have 2 years of diesel truck maintenance experience.

Must be able to repair and diagnose all systems found in heavy truck hydraulic applications.

Must have knowledge and understanding of R12 and 134 ac systems.

Must have ability to rebuild engines and or other components on Class 8 tractors.

Clean and put away parts as needed for safe work environment.

Must have knowledges of computer and scan tools for automobiles and class 8 tractors.

Must be willing to go on after hours call outs.

Education and/or Experience

Two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Current driver License and DOT Health card and or CDL
