The role

As a Semi-Skilled Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be supporting our busy workshop team, carrying out essential duties that keep our operations moving. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that make a real difference to national security and public infrastructure, while developing your skills and growing your career

 

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:

  • Carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on job cards
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulations, and local processes
  • Maintain tools and workshop equipment in good serviceable order
  • Report any faults or issues promptly to your Supervisor
  • Support the workshop team with additional duties as required

 

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

The role is based onsite at Donnington, and the set working times are 37 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off).

 

Essential experience of the Semi-Skilled Operative:

  • Proven experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
