Expected Salary $127,930 - $159,913

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Director, Sustainment and Mission Systems to plan and execute the delivery of projects with the Marine and Mission Systems division.
  • Provide support and direction to the Babcock project delivery teams to ensure the day-to-day execution of Babcock’s engineering support function delivers to a standard that meets or exceeds the requirements of the contract.
  • Provide support to business development activities as required to support achieving Marine and Mission Systems division strategic objectives
  • Support in the effective management of the resources allocated to projects in our matrix organisation, influencing and leading team members.
  • Determine appropriate governance arrangements including identification and monitoring of risks, planning, and implementing responses to these.
  • Build consensus among cross-functional team members and balance multiple, concurrent priorities.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with government and non-government stakeholders, managing geographically dispersed relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain to resolve a range of complex issues and identify external dependencies.
  • Be adept at presenting detailed information concisely and appropriately tailored to various audiences.
  • Work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise superior judgement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

The ideal candidate brings: 

  • You have a recognized University Degree or College diploma in Engineering, Project Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have 8 plus years’ experience in successfully managing projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably within the Naval or Marine sector.
  • You are a positive, resilient, and focused individual.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
