About the role

We are inviting expressions of interest from qualified Multi-Engine Helicopter Pilots to join our Aviation & Critical Services team.

 

The available position is a permanent full time opportunity to perform the role as a H145 Touring Pilot, and will commence in the second half of 2026.

 

Babcock MCS conducts emergency service and medical transport operations throughout Australia. As this is a Touring position, successful applicants will conduct these flying operations in a 15 days on / 13 days off roster pattern.

 

About you

The successful candidate must satisfy the following contract minimum qualifications and experience:

 

Essential:

  • Hold, or have ability to hold, an AGSVA Baseline security clearance
  • CASA ATPL
  • Class 1 Medical
  • Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement and minimum 3 renewals
  • 2500+ hrs total helicopter
  • 1500+ hrs PIC helicopter
  • 500+ hrs PIC MEH, not including ICUS
  • 250+ hrs instrument flying time
  • 100+ hrs night PIC
  • H145 type rating and 100+hrs experience on type
  • NVIS rating
  • Low-level rating

 

Desirable

  • Prior surveillance and/or law enforcement experience preferred
  • AW139 type rating and 100+hrs experience on type
  • Prior EMS/SAR operational experience
  • Winch endorsement

Type rating or qualification training may be offered to the successful candidate.
