About this role

<p><strong>Company</strong></p> <p>We are a Berlin-based B2C fintech operating in stealth, founded by two repeat founders (YC alum, exit) with prior 10+ year careers in investment banking and strategy consulting, respectively. We recently raised investment to assemble a 30 people, exceptionally strong core team.</p> <p>Our culture is built on ownership and clarity. We align with you on vision, then set KPIs and required resources together, and then trust your drive and expertise. </p> <p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>We&#39;re scaling from 5 to 30 people over the next 12 months, and we need someone to own our talent acquisition while helping build the operational foundation that enables this growth.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, versatile role for someone who thrives in the dynamic environment of an early-stage startup. Your primary focus will be recruiting: sourcing, screening, and coordinating hiring across technical, commercial, and operational roles. But you&#39;ll also be instrumental in building our people operations and jumping in wherever needed as we scale.</p> <p>If you&#39;re energized by variety, love building from scratch, and want to grow alongside a fast-moving company, this role offers significant impact and development opportunity.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p>What you’ll do</p> <p><strong>Talent Acquisition</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Own full-cycle recruiting coordination across all departments (tech, marketing, sales, operations)</p> </li> <li><p>Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, networks, and creative outreach</p> </li> <li><p>Conduct initial screening calls to assess fit, motivation, and alignment with our culture</p> </li> <li><p>Coordinate interview processes and ensure excellent candidate experience </p> </li> <li><p>Build our employer brand and talent pipeline for future hiring needs</p> </li> <li><p>Support hiring managers with market insights and recruiting best practices</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>People &amp; Operations Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate onboarding for new hires (contracts, equipment, first-week experience)</li> <li>Maintain employee records and HR documentation</li> <li>Support office coordination and vendor management as needed</li> <li>Help document and improve operational processes as we scale</li> <li>Jump in on operational projects where extra hands are needed</li> <li>Contribute to building our company culture and employee experience</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or people operations (startup experience strongly preferred)</li> <li>Hands-on recruiting experience - you know how to source candidates, write compelling outreach, and assess fit</li> <li>Startup mentality - comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and wearing multiple hats</li> <li>Organizational excellence - you&#39;re detail-oriented, can manage multiple processes simultaneously, and nothing falls through the cracks</li> <li>Strong communication skills - you can engage candidates professionally and represent our company compellingly</li> <li>Proactive and resourceful - you see what needs doing and figure out how to do it</li> <li>Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-Haves</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience recruiting for technical roles (developers, engineers)</li> <li>Knowledge of German employment law and HR compliance</li> <li>Experience in fintech or regulated industries</li> </ul> <h2 id="benefits">Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Competitive salary</li> <li>Equity/stock options - you&#39;ll own part of what we&#39;re building </li> <li>On-site in Berlin-Kreuzberg, with flexible remote work as you see fit</li> <li>Significant impact and growth opportunity - help build a company from 5 to 30+ people and grow your role alongside it</li> <li>Autonomy and trust - we align on goals, then give you the space to deliver</li> <li>Learning and development - work directly with experienced founders and a high-caliber team</li> </ul> <p>Hiring process (indicative)</p> <ol> <li><strong>Intro call</strong> (30 min) </li> <li><strong>Deep dive with founders</strong> </li> <li><strong>Team conversations &amp; offer</strong></li> </ol> <p><strong>We’re an equal opportunity employer.</strong> We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
