We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Digital Team on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at our Bristol office.

Overall Job Purpose:

  • Perform Business Analysis to determine business needs, problems and opportunities, understand requirements and translate into technical solutions.

  • Support the project management process to ensure that projects are delivered on time.

  • Liaise with key business stakeholders and the delivery teams to ensure requirements are gathered and communicated effectively.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Facilitate delivery of new Business systems by understanding operational and commercial requirements

  • Work collaboratively with technical and non business stakeholders to agree the solution design and business processes.

  • Manage the expectations of business users and project stakeholders

  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of change

  • Provide delivery teams with business and product knowledge to enable delivery.

  • Assist the business and development functions in optimising the scope, benefits and risks of proposed products and projects

  • Contribute to monitoring project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports and recommending actions

  • Maintain high level of professionalism, ensuring completion of all mandatory compliance training, policies, monitoring and set objectives

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodology.

  • Systems thinking and technical expertise /understanding of key concepts, principles and ways of working across the technical disciplines

  • Process modelling and workflow analysis

  • Data analysis and reporting

  • Excellent communicator, relationship builder and influencer.

  • An inquisitive mind set and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to deliver results

  • Work collaboratively to assist in the design and implementation of analysis to answer business problems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate ideas, designs and questions, simply, clearly and effectively.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities

  • Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and quality

  • Strong requirements elicitation & analysis

Desired Previous Experience:

  • Experience of Business Analysis or related experience.

IT Applications:

  • Very good IT literacy for all MS Office products specifically Excel
