$75,000.00/Yr. - $90,000.00/Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining the Company’s general ledger, familiarity with areas of intercompany elimination and reconciliations, and assisting in the designing of controls for the Company’s SOX program.

The candidate will be responsible for ad-hoc accounting, internal controls, and regulatory/compliance, and technical research and analyzing accruals and performing reconciliations. Responsible for leading projects, reviewing other work, and training peers and other staff members.

Experienced in complex accounting and regulatory standards, including researching and providing alternative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of organization’s financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

  • Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use

  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to loan activity, inclusive of certain audit workpapers

  • Ensures accuracy, validity, and completeness of all documentation necessary to meet organizational, industry, and government regulatory requirements

  • Participate in and lead cross functional meetings

  • Prepare and present reports to management

  • Research technical accounting issues and propose potential alternatives

  • Advanced knowledge of operational systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 3+ years' industry experience

  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

  • Highly detailed oriented and organized

  • Proficiency with use of e-mail, Internet, database, process mapping and presentation software

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups, SUMIF function and data manipulation

  • Maintains confidentiality and complies with privacy legislation
