Missions :
Integrated within the Engineering Department, in the Mechanical Equipment service responsible for mechanical design and monitoring the manufacturing of pressure equipment sold by Axens, the intern will have as main mission the update of standard mechanical calculation notes.

The objective of the internship is to integrate both unit systems (metric and imperial) into the existing calculation notes created by Axens in Excel files; currently only the metric system is implemented. This will allow all Axens group entities worldwide to use the calculation notes.


The associated tasks will be as follows:
-  Analysis of existing standard calculation notes.
-  Discussion with Axens North America personnel to integrate their requirements into the standard calculation notes
-  Updating documents to include both unit systems.
-  Beyond this topic, the intern will participate in the daily activities of the department and may be asked to perform some document or drawing formatting tasks.
-  To carry out these missions, the intern will have a computer with, among other software, Excel, Word, Autocad and Solidworks.
-  The work will be carried out on-site at the Axens offices in Rueil Malmaison, with no remote work foreseen.

 

 

Profile:
-  1st or 2nd year general engineering school student or specializing in mechanical design
-  Required Skills: knowledge of materials strength / solid mechanics
-  Good knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA.
