Senior Data Analyst (Finance)

<p><strong>Purpose of Position </strong></p> <p>Awin’s Financial Analytics team sits at the intersection of finance, data and commercial decision-making and is fundamental to shaping the company’s financial future and strategic direction through expert data analysis and financial modelling. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to take us to the next level, acting as a Lead Developer for the company’s suite of financial reporting, KPIs and modelling. Technical proficiency in data, a background in finance, and a commercial mindset are critical for this role. But more than that we need someone who can tell a story with data, who understands what business leaders need to make decisions and has the courage to innovate.</p> <p><strong><br>Key Tasks</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the squad’s financial reporting and modelling including sales, revenue, opex, personnel, subscription metrics such as ARR and CLV, new business, churn, balance sheet and cashflow analysis</li> <li>Act as the “senior developer”, setting standards, coaching other team members and ensuring the highest quality of deliverables</li> <li>Design and implement dashboards, reports and models that support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting</li> <li>Collaborate closely with other squads across Data Engineering and Finance to procure, ingest and model the data necessary to streamline decision-making across the organisation</li> <li>Support the Product Owner and Manager with squad backlog: using expert knowledge to help refine requirements, prioritize user stories, ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholders</li> <li>As a Senior support Manager in vision / strategy, roadmap planning and leading innovation such as the incorporation of new tools or methods such as AI / M</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Skills and Expertise </strong></p> <ul> <li>At least five years in Financial or Business Analytics</li> <li>Knowledge of Accounting / Finance</li> <li>Analytical, pro-active and inquisitive, with a proven ability to take ownership and generate valuable new ideas</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills the candidate needs to be able to shift seamlessly from talking technical details with engineers to talking strategy with management&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Business or Analytics related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Expertise with SQL and Tableau is essential&nbsp;</li> <li>Fluent English</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Our Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Flexi-Week and Work-Life Balance</strong>: We prioritise your mental health and wellbeing, offering you a flexible four-day Flexi-Week at full pay and with no reduction to your annual holiday allowance.
