The Opportunity:

We currently have some exciting roles for Complex Property Claims Adjusters for our Customer Response - Property team. 
 

Aviva recognizes the importance of being flexible and the benefits of being together, this role will be hybrid – the best of both worlds. 

Must be able to work rotating shifts during the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday, and have flexibility to work some Saturdays only if needed.
 

You will be responsible for claim settlement of predominately complex personal lines claims via telephone with a key focus on quality and customer service. The successful candidate will work with premiere property vendors to quantify the claim and apply cost saving guidelines in the quantification of loss and expense without compromising the delivery of superior customer service. 

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ Years of property insurance claims experience, handling large losses and/or field tasks 

  • CIP designation completed or currently in progress; must have successfully completed at least one CIP course 

  • Atlantic Licenses Obtained

  • Handling first-party property insurance claims are considered an asset, including but limited to building owner/tenant, business income , stock, cargo, builder's risk, crime and equipment claims for a wide variety of industries 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support customer demand

  • High level of comfort dealing directly with key property insurance clients and brokers on all claim related issues and other assistance as required 

  • Computer proficiency; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Guidewire

  • High level of prioritization and organization skills

  • Think critically and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure you receive the best outcomes.

  • You are hardworking and a self-motivated problem-solver

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Licenses for claims adjusting in any provinces (not a requirement but a big asset)

  • Assist and support during high volume catastrophes as needed (Evenings and Weekends)

What you’ll get:

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $75,000 – $85,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity
