The Opportunity
 

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage projects from initiation through completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to influence and engage various stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do
 

As a Project Manager at Aviva Canada, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams (internal and external) and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing consistent progress updates and reporting.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project expenditures, adjusting plans as needed to remain on budget.
  • Scope Management: Manage scope changes and ensure alignment with original project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to facilitate collaboration and project success.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation such as plans, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Problem Solving: Identify obstacles and implement solutions to keep the project on track.

     

What you’ll bring
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role, with a strong record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
