Collections Analyst I

<h3 data-start="233" data-end="249"><strong data-start="237" data-end="249">Overview</strong></h3> <p data-start="250" data-end="621">The Collections Analyst is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts with a primary focus on collections, past-due balances, and payment resolution. This role plays a critical part in driving timely cash collection through proactive outreach, clear communication, and effective issue resolution, while maintaining strong and professional customer relationships.</p> <hr data-start="623" data-end="626"> <h3 data-start="628" data-end="652"><strong data-start="632" data-end="652">What You Will Do</strong></h3> <ul data-start="653" data-end="1399"> <li data-start="653" data-end="761"> <p data-start="655" data-end="761">Actively manage assigned customer accounts and aging reports to prioritize and resolve past-due balances</p> </li> <li data-start="762" data-end="883"> <p data-start="764" data-end="883">Perform outbound collection efforts via phone and email to secure payment commitments and resolve delinquent accounts</p> </li> <li data-start="884" data-end="997"> <p data-start="886" data-end="997">Send invoices, payment reminders, and account statements to support collection efforts and customer follow-up</p> </li> <li data-start="998" data-end="1100"> <p data-start="1000" data-end="1100">Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues in partnership with internal teams</p> </li> <li data-start="1101" data-end="1193"> <p data-start="1103" data-end="1193">Accurately document collection activity, customer commitments, and follow-ups in Workday</p> </li> <li data-start="1194" data-end="1297"> <p data-start="1196" data-end="1297">Identify high-risk accounts, missed payment commitments, or recurring issues and escalate as needed</p> </li> <li data-start="1298" data-end="1399"> <p data-start="1300" data-end="1399">Assist with monthly collections reporting, aging analysis, and accounts receivable reconciliation</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1401" data-end="1404"> <h3 data-start="1406" data-end="1437"><strong data-start="1410" data-end="1437">What We Are Looking For</strong></h3> <ul data-start="1438" data-end="1874"> <li data-start="1438" data-end="1482"> <p data-start="1440" data-end="1482">Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred</p> </li> <li data-start="1483" data-end="1587"> <p data-start="1485" data-end="1587">1–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance or accounting role</p> </li> <li data-start="1588" data-end="1704"> <p data-start="1590" data-end="1704">Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in customer outreach—particularly over the phone</p> </li> <li data-start="1705" data-end="1795"> <p data-start="1707" data-end="1795">High attention to detail and strong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysis</p> </li> <li data-start="1796" data-end="1874"> <p data-start="1798" data-end="1874">Customer-focused, professional, and persistent approach to problem-solving</p> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About AvidXchange<br></strong></p> <p style="line-height: 28px;">AvidXchange is a leading provider of accounts payable (“AP”) automation software and payment solutions for middle-market businesses and their suppliers.
