Job Description

As a Print Operator you'll be a versatile contributor at Avery Dennison, you are the engine that keeps our production moving. In this role, you will manage data flow and operate specialized laser printing equipment to ensure our customers receive high-quality products on time. We are looking for a teammate who is eager to learn multiple functions, from machine operation to data entry, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Overtime Requirements

  • Standard Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sun–Tue) and 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Wed).

  • Mandatory Overtime: Candidates must be available for mandatory overtime during peak production seasons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data & Print Management: Initiate production jobs and laser printing from digital files. Monitor data arrival and alert supervisors of any delays to prevent production bottlenecks.

  • Multi-Tasking Excellence: Operate multiple printers simultaneously—juggling current laminating jobs, printing re-runs, and staging the next customer’s work to ensure a smooth transition flow.

  • System Accuracy: Use ERP systems to log time and materials. Maintain meticulous records of jobs printed and tested via logbooks and computer documents.

  • Quality & Safety: Perform frequent sampling and quality checks. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow all PPE and safety protocols.

  • Equipment Care: Perform basic maintenance and place service calls to technicians when necessary to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with ERP systems or production software is highly preferred.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the full 12-hour shift, reach with hands/arms, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.

  • Visual Precision: Strong close-range vision and the ability to distinguish colors for print quality validation.
