About this role

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking a Compliance Adjudication Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security by being part of a special project team to examine petitions, case files, and supporting documents submitted by schools seeking certification to educate non-immigrant students. Responsibilities Include:  
  • Examine petitions, case files, and supporting documents submitted by schools seeking certification
  • Conduct through evaluations of schools to determine whether they meet requirements outlined in 8 CFR 214.3 and other relevant federal regulations
  • Identify areas of concern, or non-conformance including discrepancies, missing information in school submissions, and make well-supported recommendations for adjudication, including approval, denial, or requests for additional information or corrective actions
  • Communicate with school officials to request clarification or additional documentation as needed
  • Clearly document and verbally articulate findings and rationale for recommendations, and case notes to support consistent and transparent decision-making in the adjudication process
  • Work closely with other analysts, adjudicators, and management to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
  • File, upload, and tag incoming documentation as needed. In coordination with government leads, follow all procedures, and file all submissions in a timely manner
  • Keep, organize, handle, store, retrieve, and destruct records for the organization in adherence to internal policies and external requirements of agency and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
Education Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
Experience Requirements:  
  • 3+ years of related professional work experience in an analytical, compliance, or adjudication-focused environment
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with limited oversight while maintaining a strong commitment to team objectives and client deliverables
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations across a wide range of cases, including those involving nuanced or challenging circumstances, demonstrating strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze case documentation and identify critical issues to support accurate, consistent, and defensible adjudication decisions
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively to ensure timely completion of assignments and consistent adherence to client deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications and experience working within case management systems
  • Experience managing multiple cases simultaneously, including evaluating and maintaining electronic records with accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to technical systems and databases to achieve proficiency in case management platforms
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
Desired Requirements:  
  • Prior experience in compliance, regulatory analysis, case management, or related work is preferred
  • Familiarity with federal school regulations, policies, SEVIS, and adjudication processes are highly desirable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Location:
  • On Site- 5 days a week in Vienna, VA
Security Requirements:  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance (Public Trust)
  • This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
