In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $18.97/hr.

What we’re looking for 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year(s) of laboratory experience is required 

• 1+ years of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience

• Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Collect and clean used glassware from laboratories across the customer site.

• Autoclave glassware and tubing to ensure sterility.

• Restock and organize clean and sterile glassware throughout the customer site.

• Assemble tubing as needed.

• Disassemble bioreactors following established procedures.

• Dispose of cell waste and media in accordance with safety protocols.

• Inspect and verify eyewash stations weekly.

• Maintain records of cleaned, autoclaved, and repurposed materials, as well as MBP waste items.

• Maintain inventory of glassware and glass-washing supplies; order and replace items as necessary.

• Handle biohazard waste for decontamination.

• Prepare solutions used in glassware processing.

• Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Participate in safety activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
