The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Bids and Proposal Specialist.  This role is full-time remote, based anywhere in Canada.  Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.

What we’re looking for:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in proposal development, project management or related experience
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Core Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of business terminology
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who thrives independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Background in biotech/pharma or distribution/manufacturing environments
  • Technical writing experience

How you will thrive and create an impact:

• Lead bid projects and manage proposal timelines
• Create, write, edit, and format proposals and presentations under tight deadlines
• Apply project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams (Commercial Operations, Business Development, Technical, Finance, Leadership)
• Prepare responses to RFIs and collaborate with SMEs for technical content
• Maintain and update templates, sales collateral, and proposal libraries
• Ensure quality control through proofreading and formatting
• Manage proposal software platform and keep resources current
• Conduct client research using CRM tools to support business development
• Demonstrate Avantor’s mission and uphold the Avantor Code of Conduct
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Créer, rédiger, réviser et mettre en forme des propositions et présentations dans des délais serrés
• Appliquer des compétences en gestion de projets pour coordonner des équipes interfonctionnelles (Opérations commerciales, Développement des affaires, Technique, Finance, Direction)
• Préparer des réponses aux demandes d’information (RFI) et collaborer avec des experts pour le contenu technique
• Maintenir et mettre à jour les modèles, documents de vente et bibliothèques de propositions
• Assurer le contrôle de qualité par la révision et la mise en forme
• Gérer la plateforme logicielle de propositions et maintenir les ressources à jour
• Effectuer des recherches sur les clients à l’aide des outils CRM pour soutenir le développement des affaires
• Représenter la mission d’Avantor et respecter le Code de conduite d’Avantor
• Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe
