Role of a Regional Sales Manager for Rider’s Advantage
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Rider’s Advantage, you are entrusted with a high-level position that demands initiative, leadership, and expertise in dealer development. This role is designed for a proactive individual who excels in addressing high-level issues with both active and potential dealers. Your primary responsibilities encompass dealer acquisition, development, mentoring, training, problem-solving, and conducting in-person visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dealer Development and Acquisition:
- Meet with Potential Dealers: Discuss the benefits of Rider’s Advantage and establish new partnerships.
- Continuous Follow-Up: Maintain regular contact with potential and active dealers to nurture relationships and drive growth.
- Relationship Management:
- Active Dealer Engagement: Meet with active dealers to discuss evolving needs and assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them.
- Customer Service: Work directly with consumers regarding questions or claims to ensure world-class service.
- Leadership and Training:
- Mentoring and Training: Provide guidance and training to dealers and their staff on Rider’s Advantage products and services.
- Motivation and Empowerment: Motivate and empower individuals to improve sales numbers by leading by example and understanding the unique challenges they face.
- Administrative and Strategic Duties:
- Data Documentation: Document interactions and maintain data related to activities, dealer accounts, and claims.
- Market Research: Conduct market research projects to identify potential opportunities for sales growth, including partnerships.
- Action Plan Development: Develop and implement an action plan for the region you are assigned.
- Office and Field Work:
- Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks in the office to ensure smooth operations.
- Store Visits and Meetings: Split time between visiting stores, attending meetings, and collecting information from each store.
- Problem Solving and Innovation:
- Proactive Solutions: Be proactive in finding solutions to improve production and address challenges.
- Strategic Planning: Analyze situations to produce strategic plans that align with resources and goals.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with owners, general managers, finance/business managers, service department managers, and advisors to address production, claims, and training.
- Product Knowledge Expert: Stay updated on Rider’s Advantage products and services and provide insights on product improvements and new offerings.

Physical Demands
This is an in-person sales position, requiring the employee to drive themselves to appointments, have face-to-face conversations with prospective partners, and comfortably traverse and be present in various workspaces including automotive dealerships.
