Position Overview 

We are seeking a strategic-minded and analytically rigorous professional to support our long-range plan (LRP) modeling and strategic planning process. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building financial models, facilitating processes to build alignment across multiple stakeholders, and clearly synthesizing and presenting complex topics to executives. 

An individual in this role will have to be comfortable addressing and tackling problems that are complex and ambiguous. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and storytelling and is comfortable both partnering with senior leaders as well as diving into financial models. 

Responsibilities  

  • Develop and maintain financial models for topline long-range plan (LRP) including scenario analysis in support of strategic decision-making

  • Partner on enterprise and functional strategic planning efforts, aligning financial analysis with business priorities

  • Integrate qualitative insights with quantitative analysis reflected in LRP to inform executive decision-making

  • Craft clear, concise executive communications that synthesize LRP outputs and proposed process improvements into actionable recommendations

  • Present recommendations to senior leadership and facilitate strategic discussions

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across functions (including GTM Finance, Product Finance, FP&A, GTM Strategy, Industry Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment 

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects relating to LRP modeling and process improvement from concept through execution, serving as a connector across teams

  • Plan and facilitate meetings and workshops to drive alignment, resolve trade-offs, and move planning forward

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in finance and strategy, ideally with a SaaS focus

  • Strong experience in financial modeling, business analysis, and strategic planning

  • Proven ability to operate across both qualitative and quantitative problem spaces

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing executive-level materials

  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and multiple workstreams

  • Comfortable influencing without authority and working in a highly matrixed environment

  • Understands the importance of “telling a story through numbers” that is easily digestible for senior leaders to enable decision making

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $0 and $0. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
