Responsibilities

  • Own monthly consolidated forecasting, variance analysis and cost reporting for cloud, data center, network, PC/hardware and IT support cost pools

  • Provide Cloud FinOps support: analyze cloud billing, build driver-based forecasting models in partnership with business leaders, and manage all forecast submissions and reconciliations

  • Lead chargeback/cost allocation, GL reconciliations, month-end accounting support, accruals and basic capital accounting to ensure accurate financials and controls

  • Maintain and improve financial processes and automation using Excel, Adaptive Planning, and enterprise AI tools; develop and maintain robust models and dashboards to support stakeholders

  • Serve as the finance lead on vendor and contract reviews: validate invoices, identify billing issues, and quantify supplier savings opportunities

  • Drive ad-hoc analyses and cross-functional cost optimization initiatives (cloud, SaaS, hardware and AI); communicate findings and recommended actions to senior leadership

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience supporting technology, cloud, infrastructure or IT organizations

  • Demonstrated experience managing business partners and influencing stakeholders across engineering, IT operations and procurement

  • Strong accounting knowledge including month-end close, GL reconciliations, accruals and capital accounting principles

  • Hands-on Cloud FinOps experience with public cloud cost models (AWS/Azure/GCP) and experience with IBM reporting suite, including Cloudability

  • Experience with data center and hardware costing

  • Experience managing SaaS and enterprise AI cost drivers and governance.

  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrable experience with Adaptive Planning; experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or SQL is a plus

  • Excellent analytical, modelling and communication skills; ability to present complex topics succinctly to senior business and finance leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer focus: Builds trusted relationships with stakeholders and delivers finance solutions that meet business needs

  • Accountability: Owns deliverables, maintains high standards for accuracy and follows through on commitments

  • Courage: Challenges assumptions, raises difficult trade-offs and drives the right commercial outcomes

  • Cooperation: Works collaboratively across functions to achieve shared goals and influence outcomes
