About this role

Job SummaryThis full-time position will oversee our BCBA Team and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance employee development, innovate therapeutic programming, and drive organizational growth. BCBA Directors will monitor and improve clinical performance and maintain professional service practice. Directors will lead initiatives to improve clinical processes, identify opportunities to expand services in early learners program, social skills program, summer programs, support recruitment and retention, and strengthen client and community relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision across clinical departments-including Client Relations, Quality Assurance, Social Skills, ACE, Intake and BT/RBT staff-in collaboration with Operations; maintains primary supervisory responsibility for BCBAs and Case Managers
  • Collaborate with business development to identify and engage potential client populations, especially pre-school aged children.
  • Assists with developing orientation programs for BT/RBTs and BCBAs
  • Provides support and accountability to Center Social Skills team
  • Conduct performance review and employee disciplinary meetings as needed and in coordination with the HR team
  • Supervision of BCBAs to include SOTD schedule, meeting weekly hour requirements and consulting of therapies if issues or concerns regarding cases
  • Work with recruitment teams on strategies for attracting and retaining top talent in ABA.
  • Oversee report writing and clinical platforms including but not limited to creating templates for intakes and documentation, maintaining learning trees and goal banks, writing reports (intake, progress, assessment) for insurance companies
  • Stays current with insurance payer requirements and medical-necessity standards; proactively revises BCBA documentation templates to strengthen clinical rationales and improve authorization outcomes
  • Oversees the authorization workflow by reinforcing BCBA accountability, tracking submission timelines, and collaborating with supervisors to ensure requests are completed on schedule.
  • Attends collaboration meetings as needed with schools, client guardians, ABC staff, and insurance providers
  • Development and conduction of individual and group parent training
  • Partner with billing and administrative teams to ensure best practices in documentation and compliance.
  • Participation in management meetings to include an understanding of the business model, strategic planning and growth
  • Work with billing team negotiating services with insurance companies and coordinating with external vendors such as CentralReach and Rethink Billing
  • Coordinates and provides supervision hours for Case Managers that are currently enrolled in Master's programs to receive their BCBA certification as well as other supervisory duties as needed
  • Assist with emergency situations as they arise for staff and families such as PT-1, DCF, etc.
  • Maintain client caseload while billing approximately 24 hours per week
  • Provides additional training and support to team as necessary
  • Support all functional areas of ABC as needed, assuming supplementary responsibilities to promote smooth and effective operations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least a Master's Degree in ABA or related field
  • Valid BCBA license
  • Competency in Google G-Suite applications as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with Insurance-based ABA therapy and billing practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including Public Speaking
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
