Ready to make a real impact? We’re looking for a Lead or Associate Structural Engineer to join our Christchurch Buildings team, a group delivering innovative, future-focused solutions across working across health, education, retail, and tertiary environments. 

If you’re a highly capable technical leader, analytical, adept at navigating complexity, and confident engaging with clients and senior stakeholders this role offers the opportunity to shape significant projects and influence outcomes that leave a legacy.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead structural design on complex projects across health, education, retail, tertiary, and commercial sectors. 

  • Provide strategic oversight across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design development through procurement and construction monitoring. 

  • Contribute to the leadership and support of the local Christchurch Structural team.

  • Engage confidently with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners, fostering trusted and influential relationships. 

  • Apply analytical rigour and expert engineering judgement to deliver high-quality, technically robust solutions. 

  • Collaborate across disciplines to drive integrated, innovative outcomes that exceed client expectations. 

What we’re looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (or similar). 

  • Chartered, or working confidently toward chartership. 

  • 10-12+ years’ experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment. 

  • Technical eminence with a proven ability to proactively drive projects and deliver high-quality outcomes 

  • Proven experience in winning work and demonstrating delivery 

  • Mentoring, coaching, and team leadership skills
