Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Safety & Health Associate to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of our environmental, safety, and health programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe work environment.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
  • Provide EHS training to employees, conduct regular safety talks with employees and supervisors
  • Monitor and evaluate workplace environments for compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of corrective actions 
  • Maintain Safety Data including SDSs, Contact Lists
  • Manage safety data, injury reports and provide regular ESH reporting
  • Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports to regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement EHS initiatives and best practices
  • Assist in managing waste disposal and environmental compliance programs
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and industry standards
  • Support the development and maintenance of safety management systems

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of industrial hygiene principles
  • Knowledge of waste management and environmental compliance
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed (up to 20%)
