Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for supporting AUMOVIO Governance, Customs department preparing and implementing supporting data analysis and reporting, creating export documentation and ensuring export and import compliance for international shipments and applying global requirements for AUMOVIO locations. Assist with AUMOVIO’s Customs team as assigned by AUMOVIO Customs team.

Analyze and assign classification of goods on an exception basis. Coordinate classification updates to SAP system. Work with AUMOVIO’s outside Customs team to obtain valid Harmonized Tariff Codes, to assist AUMOVIO employees with their export or import shipments. Maintain and coordinate online shipping systems supporting sites with export filing processes which include processing shipper’s letter of instructions.

Work with Trade Service Provider and broker to file adjustments to import clearances timely and compliantly while reporting out on status/progress.

Perform EEI (export filings) Audits and create and maintain records, support export screenings and export documentation for audit purposes.

Receive treasury ACH duty and fees refund data and perform analysis against entry data to determine and report out on allocations to finance and Supply Chain Management contacts as required.

Perform and support data analysis and reporting, solicitation work, and other critical tasks to finalize and drive project completion.

Identify and advise on documents required for shipments between the source and destination countries. Support follow up activities with internal and external resources to reduce shipment delays and drive continuous improvement activities.

Work with internal and external business partners to document and implement business processes, policies and work instructions as required.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested by management.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

  • Must be enrolled in a U.S.-accredited degree program
  • Have at least sophomore standing
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT 

  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, process flows, email, and awareness of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP
  • Understanding of logistics processes and carrier management
  • Knowledge of US Customs laws and requirements
  • Knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • AES / EEI (export filings) Experience
  • Project Management Experience and/or being a part of a project team
