About Atreides

Atreides helps organisations transform complex datasets, autonomous systems and sensors into better operational tools. We provide high-fidelity data solutions, cloud compute and secure communication networks that enable customers to collect data and derive insights at the speed of relevance.

We are a fast-moving, high-performance startup with teams across the Denmark, the UK, and the US. We value a diverse team and believe inclusion drives better performance. We trust our team with autonomy, believing it leads to better results and job satisfaction. With a mission-driven mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, we are building something new and helping unlock the power of data and technology to make the world safer, stronger and more prosperous.

Our team combines deep technical expertise with operational experience. We come from backgrounds in military operations, intelligence, law enforcement, cybersecurity and large multinationals. We are obsessed with building products that change how governments and global organisations protect themselves from adversaries and external threats.

Why Now?

This is an exciting time to join Atreides. We have recently secured major programme wins with European Defence customers and are building out our Copenhagen presence to deliver classified cloud infrastructure at scale. You will be joining at a pivotal growth stage with the opportunity to shape how we operate, influence technical direction, and grow with the company.

The Role

We are seeking a capable and reliable in-country Technical Project Manager with experience delivering complex technical projects in the defence sector. This role involves working closely with engineering teams and European government and/or military customers to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely project delivery. You will be based primarily in Copenhagen, with travel across Europe as required.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in technical project and/or program management,
demonstrate sound judgement, and be comfortable navigating both technical and operational contexts in a multinational environment.
You will be the interlocutor between engineering teams and demanding Defence customers, translating complex requirements into actionable plans and keeping high-stakes programmes on track.

A background in military service or in delivering commercial work to defence and/or government customers is essential.

What Success Looks Like

In your first six months, you will have taken ownership of in-country programme delivery, built trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, and established reporting rhythms that keep leadership and customers aligned. By twelve months, you will be the recognised point of contact for Danish programme delivery and will have contributed to at least one successful bid or contract extension.

Responsibilities

1. Own in-country programme delivery from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with contractual, technical and security requirements.

2. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including internal teams, commercial partners and government/military customers in Denmark and across Europe.
3.
Maintain project schedules, budgets and risk logs; provide clear progress reporting against milestones and performance metrics.

4. Translate customer requirements, statements of work and technical documentation into actionable deliverables and plans.

5. Ensure all programme activities comply with regulatory, security, and export control frameworks.

6. Support technical bid preparation including scoping, effort estimation and proposal development.

7. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders through reviews, reports and regular touchpoints.

8. Travel within Europe as required to support customer engagements and programme reviews.

Expertise

1. At least three years' experience managing technical programmes, ideally in defence, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.

2. Prior military service or experience delivering projects for military or government customers.

3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.

4. Proven ability to work in cross-functional, multinational teams across time zones.

5. Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence or equivalent).

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Danish.

7. Eligibility for Danish SECRET clearance (Atreides will sponsor the vetting process for the right candidate).

8. Right to work in Denmark (EU/EEA nationals or existing Danish work permit required due to Defence sector restrictions).

Certifications

  • Professional certification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with European defence procurement practices and customer engagement models.
  • Working knowledge of compliance areas including cybersecurity, export controls (ITAR/EAR), NATO D32, NIST and/or classified project delivery.
  • A strong interest in emerging defence technologies and systems.

While meeting all these criteria would be ideal, we understand that some candidates may meet most, but not all. If you are passionate, curious and ready to "work smart and get things done”, we would love to hear from you.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary. Dependent on experience.
  • Equity participation in a growing defence-tech company.
  • Pension contribution.
  • Private health, dental and vision insurance for you and your family.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment.
  • Annual professional development budget for training, certifications and conferences.
  • Regular team off-sites and travel opportunities to work with colleagues across Europe and the US.

Interview Process

Our interview process typically includes an initial conversation with our talent team, a technical or competency-based interview, a practical exercise or case study, and a final conversation with leadership. We aim to move quickly and keep candidates informed throughout.
