Your Future Team

Atlassian is searching for a Research Associate to join our growing team of research experts. Atlassian's mission is to unleash the potential of teams all over the world. You will define and conduct research that not only informs our ultimate mission, but feeds the design, strategy and development of our products and platforms. You will join a smart, passionate team who work together to improve our research craft and help Atlassian build better experiences for our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Report to a Research Manager and conduct generative and evaluative research to help improve our products and platforms.

  • Partner with teams such as product management, design, marketing, data science, and engineering to influence product and platform decisions and direction.

  • Collaborate with other research specialities to bring depth to your insights.

  • Communicate research insights in credible, creative ways to help teams understand the needs of our customers.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a masters program in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or similar and graduating by June 2026

  • Please note: At this time, this role is only open to entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (this does not include internships/co-ops)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with qualitative (and some quantitative) research methods, along with knowledge of when, why, and how to apply them. We value your ability to be creative when thinking about the research problem you're trying to solve.

  • Proficient in data management and data analysis. We will look for engaging techniques for sharing research insights.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $114,300 - $149,225

Zone B: $103,500 - $135,125

Zone C: $95,400 - $124,550

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
