POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager ensures expert nursing care delivery providing staff education, consultation, evidence-based clinical practice, and leadership.
The Clinical Manager supervises staff in their daily activities to ensure the delivery of care according to established departmental policies and procedures. This position assists the Clinical Director with resolving staff issues, participating in performance reviews, monitoring budgetary practices, preparing staff schedules, developing and implementing performance improvement activities and orienting new employees to the unit.
The Clinical Manager serves as a key communicator for organizational updates, policy changes and education needs. This position establishes and maintains communication with physicians and other professionals to promote mutual understanding of problems and plans of care.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor's in nursing or Allied Health required, Master's degree preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. BLS required. National Certification in specialty preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Meets qualifications as outlined for specialty. 3 years clinical experience required within specialty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as leadership skills required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. Physical demands include but are not limited to consideration stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing heavy equipment and excessive standing and walking. Lifting approximately 25-50 lbs. frequently; lifting 50-10 lbs. with assistance occasionally. Some departments require the ability to distinguish colors.
