Responsibilities:

1. Manage the maintenance and repair of all HVAC systems within the medical center, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, building controls and related equipment. 
2. Ensure all HVAC systems critical to patient care remain fully operational and are maintained in accordance with safety and regulatory standards including air exchanges, pressure differentials temperature and humidity
3. Respond promptly to urgent HVAC issues and system outages, delivering effective solutions to minimize service disruptions and ensure continuity of medical center operations.
4. Manage the maintenance and repair of all refrigeration systems within the medical center, including refrigerators, freezers and any refrigerant containing equipment.
5. Ensure all refrigeration systems critical to patient care remain fully operational and are maintained in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. 
6. Respond promptly to urgent refrigeration issues and system outages, delivering effective solutions to minimize service disruptions and ensure continuity of medical center operations
7. Assists Manager in applying ILSM protocols during fire detection/suppression equipment impairment supporting HVAC equipment. 
8. Other duties as assigned

Atlantic Health System’s Environmental Service Department ensures the cleanest and safest health care environment for all team members, patients and visitors. Environmental Services is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of common areas, outpatient areas, procedural areas, and patient rooms, including bathrooms, furniture, carpet/hard surface floors, vents, electronics and patient equipment.
